The Florence Police Department is a professional organization that is dedicated to the protection of the citizens who reside, visit, or pass through our wonderful community. 

The Police Department has an Investigation Division and a Patrol Division.  Patrol has two specialty units: DUI Enforcement and K-9.

Our K-9 is a German Shepherd named Indie.  Indie is three years old and is trained in narcotics detection and tracking.

The Police Department is dedicated to our youth and has two officers trained to teach D.A.R.E.  (Drug Awareness Resistance Education).  These courses are taught in the elementary and middle school.
