2009-2010 Season Information
I. General Information – Basic information regarding our youth soccer program
a. Number of participants – FYSA supports 300-350 players in the fall and spring seasons
b. Field location – Hemphill Park Florence, MS
c. State affiliation – Mississippi Youth Soccer Association (MYSA)
II. Player/parent expectations – What you can expect as you participate in the league
a. Registration fees:
i. U5-U6 - $50.00
ii. U8-U12 - $60.00
iii. U14-U16 - $65.00
iv. U19 - $70.00
(Family Max $130, out of district $10 charge, $10 late registration fee)
b. Player requirements
i. Equipment – Player must provide soccer cleats, shin guards
ii. Soccer ball – Coaches prefer players have their own ball for practice (U5-U8 – Number 3 size ball; U10-U12 – Number 4 size ball; U14-U19 – Number 5 size ball)
iii. Play hard, listen, and learn to enjoy the game
c. Parent expectations
i. Support your coach – Attend practices, games, tournaments on time
ii. Additional costs – If teams play tournaments, there may be additional costs to parents related to tournament registration fees, alternate uniforms
iii. Support FYSA as you are able – the league is always looking additional help during the season, with tournaments, with sponsorship support, etc. and we appreciate any support that you can provide.
