Dallas is 400 miles west and Atlanta is 400 miles east; it is less than 200 miles to New Orleans or Memphis. We are only a few hours distance to two seaports on our own Gulf Coast. Area Impact:
High Traffic volume on Miss. Highway 49. 2nd largest traffic count in the state.
Mississippi Braves Stadium (affiliate of Atlanta Braves) will open for its first opening season 2005 and it is within 10 miles of Florence.

Bass Pro Shop and Bloomfield Development will break ground August 18th, 2004 and open in September 2005. This will attract some 2 million visitors a year and approximately 1/3 of those will pass through Florence. It will be located next to the Mississippi Braves Stadium within 10 miles of Florence.
